- Northwest Technical Inc. is a small profitable high-technology company
based in Brookings Oregon. From it's beginning in Auburn, California, it
has grown from a single employee in 1990 to ten full-time employees at the present time.
- The company's growth has been totally financed by ongoing sales, a product
of hard work, quality products and excellent service. Starting a high tech
company in relatively non-technical and rural communities has been a challenge,
first in Auburn and in continuing in Brookings. Especially has this been so,
in attracting technically qualified people and dealing with the challenges of
certain logistics and transportation issues.
- Without resorting to outside funding, our growth has been relatively slow,
but steady. This has given us time to develop and train local employees who
have grown along with the company.
- Northwest Technical generates most of its revenue by refurbishing and reselling
industrial computers and peripheral products. The founder used his 18 years
of experience working for Intel, Intersil and Altera corporations in Silicon Valley
to create and establish Northwest Technical as a successful computer reseller,
integrator and parts supplier for many large and medium-sized companies as well
as small businesses across the United States and abroad.
- First, our goal is to increase our revenue by continuing to grow our established,
as well as our newer business units, while providing a rewarding and challenging
work environment for our employees.
- Second, our goal is to contribute to improving the local high-tech business climate
in the Brookings-Harbor community.
- Our mission is threefold:
- First, to become a leading supplier of Intel products to our
customers on the system, board and component levels.
- Second, our mission includes becoming a first-rate repair depot of Intel and other
computer peripherals and board level products.
- Third, our objective is to participate in the growing local Internet ASP market by
providing Internet services to businesses and individuals here in the Brookings-Harbor
community. We already have an established customer base of web-hosting clients and a
number of web designers signed on, who are hosting their client's sites on our servers.
- Our Internet services business grew out of our need for a reliable local Internet
connection for our web-hosting clients and for our own internal requirements.
Some of our Brookings-Harbor business clients asked us to provide them Internet access
through our T1 connection and so we have decided to make it available to the public.
And thus, Northwest Technical Internet Services was formed.
